(Recommended by General Counsel Water and Power) (Approved by General Manager and Chief Engineer) Approval of Legal Services Contracts between the City of Los Angeles, acting by and through the Department of Water and Power, and (1) Atkinson Andelson Loya Ruud & Romero, Contract No. 47597-0; (2) Bergman Dacey Goldsmith, Contract No. 47592-0; (3) Liebert Cassidy Whitmore, Contract No. 47593-0; and

(4) LimNexus LLP, Contract No. 47594-0 to provide assistance with litigation and other services for labor and employment law for a term of five years and an aggregate amount of $400,000. Determine item is exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3).

15. (Recommended by General Counsel Water and Power) (Approved by General Manager and Chief Engineer) Approval of Proposed First Amendment to Agreement No. 47520-9 between the City of Los Angeles, Department of Water and Power and the Law Firm of Wood Smith Henning & Berman LLP, to Provide Legal Advice and Representation for the Defense of Wildfire Matters. The Amendment will increase the amount by $1,800,000. The term of the contract remains the same. Determine item is exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3).

16. (Recommended by Senior Assistant General Manager – External and Regulatory Affairs/Chief Sustainability Officer and Senior Assistant General Manager – Water System) (Approved by General Manager and Chief Engineer) Approval of Adoption of the Mid Valley Water Facility Project Mitigated Negative Declaration in Accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act. Determine item is in compliance of CEQA Guidelines Sections 15070-15075.

17.
