Recommended by Power System Approval of Notch Peak Project Power Sales Agreement No. BP 26-011 and Agency Agreement No. BP 26-012 Between the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and the Southern California Public Power Authority. The 30-year Power Sales Agreement allows LADWP to buy 739,122 MWh of renewable energy annually from SCPPA starting with an expected commercial operation date in September 2028 at a fixed price of $52.70 per MWh (or $46.75–$50.85 if the project qualifies for IPP retirement), costing about $39 Million per year and $1.17 Billion total, with optional project purchase opportunities in years 10, 15, 20, 25, or at the end of the term. Environmental Recommendation is not applicable. City Council approval by ordinance is required.
