1. Recommendation for approval of the minutes for the January 24, 2023, Regular Meeting of the Board of Water and Power Commissioners.

1. Recommended by Corporate Services Approval of Amendment No. 2 to Agreement Nos. 47583A through 47583H for Armed and Unarmed Security Services with American Guard Services, Inc.; The Gadite Group, Inc.; Alltech Industries, Inc.; Absolute Security International, Inc. dba Absolute International Security; Abet Security Services, Inc.; National Eagle Security, Inc.; Platinum Security Inc.; and American Eagle Protective Services, Inc. The Amendment will extend the term for an additional six months, for a total of three years and six months, and increase the cumulative amount by $3,867,000, for a total cumulative amount not to exceed $24,679,000. Determine item is exempt pursuant to California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Section 15060(c)(3).
2. Recommended by Office of the Chief Information Technology Officer Approval of Amendment No. 3 to Agreement No. 197 with Switch Communications Group, LLC. for an Out-of-State Disaster Recovery Data Center. The Amendment will increase the current not-to-exceed amount by $4,000,000 from $17,750,000 to $21,750,000. The Amendment adds an option to extend the Agreement for another five-year period from June 9, 2024, to June 8, 2029. Determine item is exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15060(c)(3). City Council approval is required.
3. Recommended by External and Regulatory Affairs Approval of Addition of Projects to LADWP Project Labor Agreement, the estimated total contract cost for this project is approximately $300 million. Determine item is exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15060(c)(3).
4. Recommended by Power System – Construction, Maintenance, and Operations Approval of Contract No. 286 for Services for Installing, Removing, and Maintaining Overhead Distribution Facilities North of Mulholland Drive and in the Owens Valley with Alvah Contracting, LLC. for a period of one year, with two one-year renewal options for an amount not-to-exceed $154,931,296. Determine item is exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15060(c)(3).
5. Recommended by Power System – Engineering, Planning, and Technical Services Approval of Agreement for the Navajo Project Pacific Northwest-Pacific Southwest Intertie Project for the Decommissioning of a Phase Shifting Transformer at Liberty Substation, DWP No. BP 21-014. Determine item is exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15060(c)(3). City Council approval by ordinance is required.
6. Recommended by Water System Approval of Utility Subscription and Facilitated Research Service Program with The Water Research Foundation, for a cumulative total not-to-exceed amount of $5,000,000. Determine item is exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15060(c)(3). City Council approval is required.
